Through industry partnerships, teachers will engage in real-world applications, learning how polymers are developed, processed, and utilized across various industries.

The program will cover:

  • What is a Polymer? Understanding the fundamental properties and classifications of polymers.
  • Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing): Exploring how polymers are used in advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Injection Molding: Gaining insight into one of the most common polymer processing methods.
  • Circular Economy: Examining sustainable approaches to polymer use, recycling, and waste reduction.

By participating in this externship, educators will be equipped with valuable industry knowledge and practical applications to bring back to their classrooms, helping to inspire the next generation of innovators in science, technology, and engineering.

Daily Timeframe

Check-in is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Monday, July 20th. The program will tentatively run daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with most meals provided throughout the week. If you require housing, accommodations will be available in our residence halls. The program will conclude on Wednesday.
