Join us for a two-day externship at Penn College’s Schneebeli Earth Science, Diesel Equipment Technology Center to collaborate with fellow CTE instructors and explore advancements in everything from engines and drivetrains to integrated computing and electronics.

Takeaways

By the end of the program, participants will: 

  • Gain hands-on experience with operation fundamentals, diagnostics, maintenance, and overhaul on the Eaton Endurant automated transmission. The Endurant offers the latest technology in current production integrated drivetrain package systems. 
  • Experience hands-on commercial truck diagnostics utilizing the very latest analysis equipment offered from Daimler Truck North America as well as PACCAR.
  • Learn theories and concepts to share in their classrooms pertaining to the ever-changing technology of our industry.
  • Receive 16 hours of ACT-48 required training.

Format

What is the format? 

  • Participants will receive two full days of classroom and lab experience provided by trainers from our partners within the commercial truck, heavy equipment, and power generation industries. 
  • Training days will be broken into two, four-hour sessions with each day beginning at 8 a.m. and including a one-hour lunch break.
