Courses taken at other institutionally accredited 1 colleges and universities will be accepted in transfer provided that these courses are comparable to courses offered at Penn College and are applicable to a degree program at Penn College. The College does not accept transfer credit for any courses taken as "Pass/Fail" except fitness or developmental courses that are never offered with a letter grade. Exceptions may be made in cases where an institution has implemented "Pass/Fail" grades for all courses on a temporary basis due to extenuating circumstances.
College credit earned before high school graduation will be evaluated only if the college where the course was taken issues an official college transcript. Students who have earned college credit before graduation from high school are subject to the same transfer protocol as are those transferring credit from other colleges.
Begin Early!
Students considering transferring to Penn College should begin the application and enrollment process early. Transfer credit evaluations typically take 10-14 business days to complete, but during peak periods may take as long as four weeks.
1 Credits from post-secondary institutions that are not institutionally accredited may be recognized on an individual basis as determined by the academic school.
