Smith Hits Three In OT for Victory

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Michael Smith (Pleasantville, N.J.) hit a three with five second left in overtime to lift the Pennsylvania College of Technology to its second straight win over Penn State Scranton 77-75. The Wildcats trailed by one in the final second of the game and clutch shooting from Smith sealed the victory. He ended the game with five points. Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) led the team with 24 points and 13 rebounds while freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) added 14 and 10 respectively. The win improves the team to 4-18 overall and 4-9 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Four Wildcats Notch Double-Doubles in Loss to Scranton

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team had four players with double-doubles but it wasn’t enough as the team lost 67-61 to Penn State Scranton. Junior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport), had 13 points and 12 rebounds while freshmen Dana Reed (Sunbury), Mackenzie Brown (Lititz) and Bryanna Valentine (Mifflinburg) had12 and 10, 12 and 12 and 10 and 16 respectively. Scranton’s Jessica Seglia notched a double-double as well with 20 points and 13 boards. The loss drops the Wildcats to 2-20 overall and 1-11 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Wildcats Upset Brandywine 66-62

MEDIA, Pa. - The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team pulled out an upset with a 66-62 victory over Penn State Brandywine. Brandywine is second in the Penn State University Athletic Conference south division while the Wildcats are in last place in the north. Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) led the Wildcats with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Bryant House (Columbia Crossroads) and freshmen Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) and Michael Smith (Pleasantville, N.J.) each added 13 points in the win.
