Pennsylvania College of Technology is among 325 higher education institutions nationwide recognized in the Military Times 2023 Best for Vets: Colleges list.

The Best for Vets survey is sent to colleges and universities annually, asking about the institutions’ programs for veterans. The survey results are analyzed along with publicly available data about colleges and universities obtained from the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Student success metrics (completion, retention, persistence, GPA and graduation) are the most important factor, followed by the range of military-specific resources and the level of financial assistance offered. Admissions and registration policies, human resources and miscellaneous other considerations also play a role.

“Pennsylvania College of Technology prioritizes supporting its veteran students, their families and dependents,” said Chet Beaver, assistant director of student advocacy for veteran and military services. “This recognition reflects the commitment of staff, faculty and the college administration in helping our veteran students accomplish their educational goals.”

Additionally, Penn College’s Army ROTC program enables students to prepare for military service as commissioned officers in the active U.S. Army or part time in the Army Reserve or Army National Guard.
