The Laurel Health Centers offer award-winning family medicine, behavioral health services, and specialty care for the whole family throughout Tioga & Bradford Counties, including sites in Blossburg, Elkland, Mansfield, Lawrenceville, Towanda, Troy, Wellsboro, and Westfield, PA.
The Laurel Health Centers are committed to serving all patients regardless of their ability to pay, offering a sliding fee scale to ensure all patients receive the care they need. Services include primary care, pediatrics, dental services, women’s health, preventive wellness care, internal medicine, chiropractic care, sports medicine, mental health counseling, nutrition / diabetes education, care coordination, chronic disease management, insurance enrollment assistance, and more. Laurel Health’s locations include seven Laurel Health Centers, four Laurel Dental offices, Laurel Behavioral Health, Laurel Pediatrics, and the Laurel Health & Wellness Center.

HOW DID YOUR COMPANY FIRST CONNECT WITH PENN COLLEGE?
We first connected through working with Penn College nursing students (e.g., speaking at class sessions and providing job shadowing opportunities in our health centers). Later, we began working together to create the dental and LPN sponsorship program with Penn College to support even more local students pursuing nursing and dental care.

Penn College is dedicated to training and preparing students to provide excellent services. Penn College alumni are excited about their work and ready to give back to their communities through their skills and talents.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU SHARE WITH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO ARE CONSIDERING PENN COLLEGE?
We have worked with Penn College’s licensed practical nurse (LPN) and dental hygiene programs and can testify that these programs offer small class sizes, access to state-of-the-art equipment, and innovative programming that primes students for success. Penn College also opens doors to new opportunities. Laurel Health currently offers an annual sponsorship program to support LPN and RDH students with a guaranteed two-year job placement.
