About the Camp

Penn College developed Science and Math Applications in Real-World Technologies (SMART) Girls to counter an alarming academic and social trend: Girls tend to shy away from math and sciences as they enter adolescence and their important high school years. SMART Girls provides young females the opportunity to experience math and science as a foundation for careers in technology.

Robots are aMAZing and So Are You!

Camp participants will spend the week building and fine-tuning their own robots. Throughout the week, the robots will compete to complete a variety of activities, while their developers hone their leadership skills using Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens as their guide. At the end of the week, both the robots and their developers will present an EXPO showcasing their skills. Camp participants will develop and showcase their skills and creativity by completing a tri-fold presentation board while the robots will wow the audience by completing The aMAZing Race!
