Pennsylvania College of Technology recently hosted its inaugural Nontraditional Employment Opportunities (NEO) Guys event, exposing male teenagers to job opportunities in all areas and encouraging career choice based on interests and individual strengths.
Pennsylvania College of Technology, in conjunction with the Penn State University Athletic Conference, has announced the recipients of the Winter/Spring 2010-11 All-Academic Team award. The award is given to student-athletes with a grade-point average of 3.0 or better in the semester of competition (basketball is an average of both the fall and spring semester grades).

For the second consecutive year, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants has awarded a renewable scholarship to a Pennsylvania College of Technology baccalaureate accounting major and honored two May graduates as "Outstanding College Seniors." Steven W.
A $1,500 grant from the Easton Sports Development Foundation II helped the Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team defray travel expenses for its recent trip to national competition in Harrisonburg, Va. The Wildcats finished second overall during the U.S. Intercollegiate Archery Championships, which were held May 19-22 at James Madison University.
Graduation ceremonies were held May 20 for those completing the medical (office) assistant program at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus near Wellsboro. Ten individuals completed the nine-month training program, preparing them for employment in medical offices, labs, clinics and human-service agencies.
For the third consecutive year, Pennsylvania College of Technology has been awarded the Penn State University Athletic Conference Chancellor's Cup, given to the college that earns the most points throughout the year. Penn College ended with 69 points, while runner-up Penn State Brandywine had 55.5. During the school year, Wildcat teams posted a combined 117-88 won-loss record (.570 percent).
It was déjà vu all over again for the Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team at the U.S. Intercollegiate Championships in Harrisonburg, Va., over the weekend. For the second year in a row, the Wildcats finished second in the nation overall. And, for the first time in his career, Penn College coach Chad Karstetter was honored with the national Coach of the Year award.
About 50 faculty and staff representing all of Penn College's eight academic schools and a number of campus departments took part in Saturday's inaugural event of the First Year Institute: a daylong program of professional development sessions geared toward teaching of first-year students.
Four Pennsylvania College of Technology students will receive scholarship awards of $3,000 each, thanks to The John Deere Foundation. Tyler S. Caldwell, of Manchester; Micah E. Hoover, of Souderton; Derek T. Ban, of Charlotte, N.C.; and Justin T. Nupp, of South Williamsport, are the recipients of awards from the John Deere Foundation Scholarship for 2011-12.
