There are perks to sharing your home-away-from-home with Little League® Baseball. Ask the Penn College student-athletes who served as the official tarp crew for the 2022 MLB Little League Classic game. For five years and counting, Wildcats were at the ready to cover the field in case of inclement weather. "The big question is, 'Where are we going to find 20 people that can put this tarp out?'" Murray Cook, MLB's field and stadium consultant, says in a YouTube video. "Coming here is, for me and our team, it's the best thing knowing that we have Penn College up the road here to help us during this time for this game. It couldn't be a better relationship." Spoiler alert: This year, Williamsport got 0.60 inches of rain on the day of the big game between the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox! Thankfully, Wildcats came to the rescue.
