Summertime means ballgames, picnics, nature and … drones.


Are you aware of the latest Federal Aviation Administration regulations involving drones? Do you need quadcopter control lessons? Are you interested in meeting other drone enthusiasts?


Just in time for the summer months, Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering a Drone Quadcopter Technology course beginning in June.



The Drone (Quadcopter) Technology course will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 14, 16 and 21. The cost is $179. Participants are encouraged to bring their drones to class.


Participants will explore the fundamentals of quadcopter/unmanned aerial system theory and operation. The course includes three lecture sessions in which participants will learn the history and future of aerial technology, as well as FAA regulations and exemptions. After the completion of each classroom lecture, participants will learn basic quadcopter safety and flying techniques at three indoor sessions
