SIFE celebrates food drive's success On the heels of a successful canned-food drive to benefit needy area families, members of Students in Free Enterprise took some time Tuesday tofeed themselves. The students and adviser Dennis R. Williams, joined by representatives of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, held a lunchtime party to celebrate the collection of 8,777 nonperishable items a total of 5,105 pounds, well within respectful distance of its10,000-item goal in conjunction with the Campbell Soup Co.'s "Let's Can Hunger" effort. SIFE, which last week received Student Organization of the Year and Adviser of the Year honors at an on-campus event, shared its pizza with members of the Penn College Legal Society. That organization collected the most food among non-SIFE members, winning $50 for its club account. Awarded $40 for second-place was the Chi Phi fraternity; the Student American Dental Hygienists' Association received $30 as third-place winner.
