A session to help families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be held Thursday, March 19, at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

The event, sponsored by the Financial Aid Office at Penn College, the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency and the Pennsylvania Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, will be offered from 5-7 p.m. in the Student and Administrative Services Center at the college.

The FAFSA is required by colleges and universities to determine if students are eligible for scholarships, federal and state grants, and student and parent loans. The primary goal of the session is to assist individuals and families in completing the FAFSA application accurately so that funds can be made available to students pursuing higher education.

Parents and students attending any college or university are invited to receive free assistance in completing the FAFSA. Students who are 23 or younger should attend with a parent or guardian.

The February FAFSA session at the college was well-attended. To register or obtain additional information about the March 19 event, call the Financial Aid Office at (570) 327-4766 or e-mail .
