The work contains 420 articles by contributors from around the world and presents economic concepts within a historical context.
Another article by Bahl, dealing with a critique of recent Indian historiography, was translated into German and published in "Sozial.Geschichte," a German journal of social history. The article was titled "Subaltern Studies Was ist schief gelaufen?" Indian historiography has a large following among scholars in the United States and Latin America.
