Caleb G. Schirmer, a student photographer in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Public Relations and Marketing Office for two and a half semesters, took on a personal project that placed a philosophical spin on an otherwise utilitarian subject: doors on Penn College’s campuses.
“Behind every door, there is a dream waiting to be a reality. That right there is the essence of Penn College condensed into a sentence,” Schirmer said. He noted the diversity he captured through his camera’s lens: “It’s not just one thing that makes Penn College great, but many doors to such an overwhelmingly memorable experience. … Sometimes, you have to go through to make it happen.”
The Student of the Month recipient graduated in May with a bachelor’s degree in applied management. He also holds an associate degree in landscape/horticulture technology: landscape emphasis.
