Masking guidance is based on the College's review of a variety of metrics, both internal and external to the institution. Guidance falls into one of two categories, Masking Optional or Masking Recommended. When the CDC’s COVID-19 Community Level tracker places Lycoming County in the high designation, the College will default to Masking Recommended status. When in low or medium, and as campus metrics permit, the College will default to Masking Optional status. Employees and students are encouraged to check the COVID-19 Community level and make masking decisions in alignment with guidance and personal healthcare needs.
The current status of campus is:
Masking Optional: Masking is optional for all students, employees, and visitors.
CDC Requirements for Quarantine and Isolation
- Individuals testing positive for COVID-19 are required to isolate for 5 days (from the date of the positive test). On day 6, individuals may return to class or work if there is improvement of symptoms. Continuation of symptoms will require the individual to complete a 10-day isolation period. In alignment with CDC guidance, individuals will be expected to mask around others, at home and in public, for 5 days following a release from isolation on day 6.
- Per CDC guidance, close contacts (limited to shared living environments) of a positive case must wear a mask indoors for at least 10 days and monitor symptoms.
- Positive test results and close contacts (limited to shared living environments) should be reported using the COVID-19 Reporting Form.
Provide proof of vaccination: Vaccination Record Submission Form *Information provided through the Vaccination Record Submission Form will not be retained in medical records maintained by College Health Services.

COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective, but a small percentage of people who are fully vaccinated may experience what is known as a ‘breakthrough case’ and still become ill with COVID-19 if they are exposed to someone carrying the virus. Given this, do not report to class or work and contact College Health Services for a COVID-19 screening; this will help determine whether a COVID-19 test would be appropriate.

FAQs
After you have been cleared to return to classes by College Health Services, CDC guidelines require that you mask indoors through Day 10 of your positive result; College Health Services will give you your dates for indoor masking. During this time, you must mask in all indoor settings. This means that you will not be able to eat in the dining units and should get your food to-go, eating away from others either outside or in your room. All dining units and convenience stores have to-go options, or you can order on the GET app or pick it up from the facility (check the app for specific hours). You can download the GET app to your phone or access it through the Dining Services portal.
All tests, results and notifications of close contact (limited to shared living environments) should be reported to the College using the COVID-19 Reporting Form.
College Health services provides testing for symptomatic and asymptomatic students. This testing, will be walk-in, no appointment required.
If students report any symptoms of COVID-19, they will be instructed to notify College Health Services immediately by calling the office at 570.320.5234; employees may notify College Health Services or their preferred provider. College Health Services is seeing those concerned about COVID-19 in the College Health Services Annex in the Bush Campus Center. Staff in College Health Services will provide you with directions when you call. When you are seen in College Health Services, staff will conduct a second-level screening process and, based on that screening, may test for COVID-19. In the event of a medical emergency, dial 911.
Students who test positive for COVID-19 through a provider other than College Health Services should report their result via the COVID-19 Reporting Form.
Students tested for COVID-19 will be presumed to be positive and required to immediately isolate pending test results. Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 will be required to continue isolation and remain isolated until day 6 (with improvement in symptoms) or complete a 10-day isolation period. Students will have the option to return home to isolate, but the College has isolation space available for those who wish to stay on campus.
College Health Services will conduct contact tracing for anyone who tests positive, which will be limited to shared living environments. This includes any unvaccinated individuals, and those vaccinated but not boosted, if eligible. Individuals who have tested positive in the last 90 days are exempt from quarantine as long as they remain asymptomatic. Those notified of their exposure through contact tracing are required to quarantine for 5 days as long as the individual remains symptom free. Students will have the option to return home to quarantine or to quarantine in their existing residence. Students who live off campus will not be permitted to quarantine on campus.
In cases of isolation or quarantine, students will be supported in efforts to remain current with their coursework through coordination with their faculty. Students in isolation or quarantine will have meals delivered to them in accordance with their existing meal plan, if they have one, or billed as a declining balance expense, and they will have ongoing health support from College Health Services, as well as access to counseling though telehealth.
Employees who are exposed to or test positive for COVID-19 should refer to guidance provided by Human Resources.
