Penn College offers a unique combined bachelor/master of science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. The Bachelor/Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies is designed in a 3+2 format. Courses in the first three years (six semesters) of the pre-professional phase prepare the student for the two year professional phase of the program. Knowledge and skills are reinforced by hands-on education in the program's assessment and cadaver laboratory environments. The combined degree includes broader liberal arts study, systematic problem solving, cultural diversity, a capstone project, and interdisciplinary courses that develop an appreciation for the relationships among science, technology, and society. The master's level clinical year course work is designed to provide a variety of clinical settings ranging from primary care to surgical and medical specialties in rural and urban areas.
