Exploration of human movement, including the joint mechanics and muscle performance necessary for functional movements. Anatomy and physiology of muscle function as well as common pathologies of the musculoskeletal system are reviewed for their impact on an individual’s ability to create purposeful movement for both complex and simple motions. Musculoskeletal control of human gait as well as phases of gait are explored in normal and abnormal conditions. Spring Only.
