Preparation of fitness specialists as instructors in a variety of group exercise formats, including low impact aerobics, step aerobics, muscle conditioning, stretching, and plyometrics. Applied skills include the use of equipment relevant to instruction in group exercise classes. Course work includes designing routines that incorporate music selection, warm up/cool down, exercise patterns, linking, cueing, intensity changes, modifications, and safety considerations. 2 Credits (1 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): BIO103 and PFS125 and PFS170.
