Exploration of nursing care of clients experiencing a normal or at risk pregnancy through various methods of instruction. Utilization of critical thinking skills while focusing on health promotion and management of risk factors in client care situations during the prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. Incorporation of current nursing research and evidence-based nursing interventions provide the level of cognitive ability needed to function in the role of a baccalaureate prepared nurse. Application of obstetrical concepts to occur in patient care settings and simulation. 90 Clinical Hours.
