Exploration of nursing care of clients experiencing a normal pregnancy or a pregnancy at risk. Common obstetrical problems of increasing complexity are studied. Emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for the childbearing client. Experiences include care for the mother, fetus, and neonate during normal pregnancies. Social and environmental influences are addressed, as well as pharmacological and nutritional factors. 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Clinical) Prerequisite(s): NUR188 and PSY203 or NUR214 and NUR272 and NUR274.
