Adult Health Nursing III


Continuation of the systems approach with discussion of the more complex medical surgical disorders and their effect on adult and geriatric clients. Mental health concepts addressed, as well as issues and trends in nursing practice. Focus on co-morbidity polypharmacology in the adult and geriatric population. Integration of critical thinking, and leadership skills. Application of all phases of the nursing process, incorporating health teaching, and identifying referral sources. Emphasis on building and transferring theoretical knowledge from the classroom to the clinical area. There is a minimum of 90 clinical hours scheduled for this course. Summer Only.
