Exploration of nursing care for clients experiencing normal or at risk pregnancies. Observational experiences in labor and delivery, nursing care to newborn, and postpartum clients in the acute care setting. Exploration of sexually transmitted infections, as related to pregnancy. Application of related theoretical concepts to administer safe and effective nursing care to pregnant clients throughout all stages and newborns. There is a minimum of 45 hours of clinical scheduled for this course. Summer Only.
