Focus continues with acute problems and associated emergent disorders, and their effect on the adult client by using a system approach. Chronic, long-term impact associated with these disorders is also addressed. Continued application of effective interpersonal communication skills with clients, their families, and members of the health care team. Pharmacological principles and rationale continue to be applied during supervised medication administration. Emphasis on the development and implementation of client-centered care plans. Focus on progression as a contributing member of the nursing team while caring for assigned clients with needs of moderate complexity in the acute setting. Course work includes opportunities to integrate the leadership role in the management of the client needs. 16 Credits (8 Lecture - 8 Lab - 16 Clinical) Prerequisite(s): NUR158 and PSY111. Spring Only.
