Structured Wiring and Premises Cabling


Theory and hands-on skill development in structured wiring and premises cabling for residential and commercial applications. Study and application of electrical standards set by the Telecommunications Industry Association. Course work includes structured wiring as it applies to the routing and re-routing of voice, data, video, and audio signals and laboratory projects involving the design, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of category rated cabling devices. 3 Credits (2 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): ELT117 or ELT111. Corequisite(s): ELT122 or ELT126.
