Theory and application of engine performance analysis and basic tune-up procedures. Operation and troubleshooting of the FCA gasoline and diesel engine management systems including fuel delivery, fuel control, emission controls, ignition, engine controls, forced induction, and direct injection technology are covered. Additional topics include the purpose and performance of computerized engine control systems; theory of operation, service, troubleshooting, and repair; as well as the fundamentals of hybrid technologies. Content includes the latest "FCA Performance Institute Learning Center Gasoline Engine Performance." "FCA Performance Institute Learning Center Diesel Engine Performance," and "FCA Performance Institute Learning Center Hybrid Electric Vehicle" instructor-led course(s). Spring Only.
