Architectural Design Studio V
Design studio with an emphasis on the principles and benefits of Building Performance Modeling. Focus on the design and representation of complex, medium-sized commercial projects in varied environmental settings. Topics include the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a design tool to evaluate overall building performance and energy usage. Course work includes design documentation, development of cost estimates, simulation of the construction sequence, and development of BIM throughout the building’s life cycle with an emphasis on the design phase. 5 Credits (2 Lecture - 9 Lab) Prerequisite(s): BSD332 or ACH111 and BSD334 and BSD342. Spring Only.
