Design studio with an emphasis on passive design strategies employed to reduce the energy consumption and increase human comfort. Focus on small and medium-sized residential and commercial buildings. Topics include the importance of site and climate conditions, the use of the sun to provide heat and light to indoor environments, the use of natural ventilation, and the impact of passive strategies on building form. 5 Credits (2 Lecture - 9 Lab) Prerequisite(s): ACH243 and ACH281.
