Structural Applications

Principles of developing, evaluating, and applying appropriate structural systems for multi-family and commercial buildings. Topics include material and form implications for grids, lateral load bearing capacity, and cost versus functionality; interaction of architectural design concept and structural system; adding and transferring gravity loads through entire structural system; and use of data to select and size structural elements. Spring Only.
