Occupational Health and Safety


Basic investigation into the Occupational Health and Safety Act, OSHA regulations, industrial noise, machine guarding, electrical safety, chemical exposure, Worker's Compensation Law, supervisory legal liability, and applicable safety precautions particular to the workplace environment. 2 Credits (2 Lecture)

PEC Basic Safety Orientation


Study of basic safety awareness topics for both land and offshore gas/oil operations.  Discussion provides a basic understanding and awareness of general safety information that an employee should know before entering a gas/oil-related facility and while performing assigned work duties.  Industry regulated certification card, in accordance with current safety requirements, issued upon successful course completion.  1 Credit (1 Lecture)
