Mathematics in Non-European Cultures II
Survey of mathematical ideas developed by non-European cultures including, but not limited to, those of native Central and South America. Includes culture and specific examples from mathematics and applied mathematics, architecture, design, engineering, astronomy, and archaeoastronomy. Designed to follow MTH 155, this course includes travel to the Mayan World and a final project and presentation. 1 Credit (0 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): MTH155.
