Principles of Management
Introduction to the topic of management, defined as the process of setting and achieving organizational goals, effectively and efficiently, through the use of human and other resources. The four functions of management - planning, organizing, leading, and controlling - provide a framework for the course and are examined in considerable detail. Emphasis on contemporary management issues such as diversity and recognition of the changing face of the American workforce; ethics and social responsibility and their increasingly important role for business; and the growing significance of international business. 3 Credits (3 Lecture)
