This is a capstone course in the Health Information Technology program. The topics covered include health information department operations, current issues in health information and in health care delivery, the American Health Information Management Association’s (AHIMA) professional practice standards and Code of Ethics for the health information professional, and a review of health records competencies to help prepare the student for the national accreditation exam. (Formerly HIT250) Spring Only.
