Emphasis on the principles of quality assessment and improvement and on providing a basis for developing skills in collecting and analyzing data. Examine health care evaluation systems and the role of medical record professionals in quality assessment and improvement, clinical critical pathways and case management, utilization management, risk management, infection control, and medical staff credentialing.
