Perform Ford engine performance analysis and basic tune-up procedures. Operation and troubleshooting of the Ford EEC V engine management and the Ford Diesel engine management system including fuel delivery, fuel control, emission controls, ignition, engine controls, and Ecoboost technology. Topics include the purpose and performance of computerized engine control systems, theory of operation, service, troubleshooting and repair. Review fundamentals of Ford’s hybrid technologies. The course will include the delivery of the latest “Ford Gasoline Engine Performance”, “Diesel Engine Performance”, and Hybrid STST instructor led courses. 6 Credits (5 Lecture - 3 Lab) Prerequisite(s): FMC130. Corequisite(s): FMC163 and FMC210. Fall Only.
