Gaseous Fueled Engines Operation, Applications, and Troubleshooting


Study of safety procedures, terminology common to the industry, the origin of natural gas, available alternative fuels, the differences between diesel and natural gas engines, components in a gaseous fueled engine, the calculation of air and horsepower requirements for various types of natural gas, preventative maintenance, emissions systems, and major regulations affecting the industry. Course work builds on prior knowledge of basic fuels systems, diesel engine theory, assembly and disassembly, and basic direct current fundamentals. (Formerly DSM249)
