Introduction to masonry construction materials and methods, with an emphasis on the terms, definitions, and methods of construction practices related to concrete block, brick construction, and thin masonry veneer. Topics also include the different types of mortar mixes and their strengths and uses, reinforcement of masonry walls, masonry cleaning, weather protection for masonry, and estimating supplies and materials. 5 Credits (2 Lecture - 9 Lab) Prerequisite(s): BCT103 and BCT104.
