Penn College has an Impaired Student Recovery Area where students who are intoxicated will be sent, unless they are in need of medical treatment, in which case an ambulance will be called to the scene to transport the student to the hospital. The Impaired Student Recovery Area is staffed by a Student Health Assistant who will monitor impaired students until they no longer pose a health or safety risk to themselves or others.

In addition to any legal actions or disciplinary action for violations of the Student Code of Conduct, students will be assessed a fee if held at the Impaired Student Recovery Area. Further information on the Impaired Student Recovery Area can be found through College Health Services, or the Penn College Police Department.
