LEARN CURRENT STATE DIRECTIVES, AUDITING TECHNIQUES, AND HOW TO PERFORM A STANDARDIZED AUDIT OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM IN A REAL-WORLD SCENARIO. THIS COURSE REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF BUILDING SCIENCE CONCEPTS SUCH AS INFILTRATION THEORY, APPROVED RETROFIT LISTS AND CODES, BLOWER DOOR GUIDED AIR LEAKAGE TESTS, INFRARED CAMERA TECHNOLOGY, THERMAL AND PRESSURE BOUNDARIES, HEAT SYSTEMS TESTING AND ANALYSIS, MATERIAL MEASURING, MOISTURE CONTROL AND IAQ, AND WORKING WITH A FIELD DATA COLLECTION FORM. THE COURSE INCLUDES A "HANDS ON" ASSIGNMENT ON A ACTUAL HOUSE WHERE PARTICIPANTS WILL CONDUCT A STANDARDIZED AUDIT AND GENERATE THEIR FINDINGS IN A WORK SCOPE.
