This is the third course of a four-part series providing maintenance technicians with intermediate level PLC training. This course focuses on advanced PLC instruction sets and process control operations used by PLC programmers to improve machine operation. This course develops many skills relating to data manipulation, math functions, shift registers, word level instructions, sequencers, closed loop and set-point control systems, analog functions, principals of PID controls, PLC installation and advanced troubleshooting, CNC, and PLC robotics. Laboratory exercises using interactive PLC simulations introduce the technician to batch process control exercises and high speed filling lines to develop versatility of PLC programming skills.
