This workshop is designed to provide participants with a fundamental knowledge of plastics (polymers), how they are processed, how they are tested, and how they are characterized. Participants will gain knowledge in how plastic material testing can improve plastic product design and processing considerations. Fundamental understanding of polymer structure and its effect on polymer properties is covered. Hands-on sessions will show how certain data sheet properties, such as melt index, tensile strength, and impact resistance are determined. These sessions will also include introductions to polymer processing techniques such as injection molding, extrusion, rotational molding, vacuum forming, and extrusion blow molding. PLEASE WAIT FOR CONFIRMATION TO BOOK FLIGHTS.
