THIS COURSE IS REQUIRED FOR THOSE AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIANS WITH A CURRENT NORTHERN REGION EMISSIONS INSPECTOR LICENSE WHOSE TWO YEAR CERTIFICATION IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE. This certification is required for technicians performing the visual anti-tampering check and the gas cap test as part of the annual vehicle emissions and safety inspection for the northern region counties (Blair, Cambria, Erie, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Lycoming, and Mercer. To schedule the exam, test candidates must first successfully complete the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation required training. Training materials can be downloaded at www.paimtraining.com. Individuals must also have a valid driver's license or identification issued by PennDOT.
