Pennsylvania College of Technology welcomes international transfer students. Many of our academic programs are relevant on a global level, preparing students for jobs anywhere in the world in fields such as healthcare, automotive, building construction and design, electronics, and plastics, to name a few.
Transcript and Course Evaluation
Individuals interested in transferring should review the International Applicants checklist to get started. That page also includes information about required transcript evaluation by the World Education Service (WES). Students who are not applying under a specific articulation agreement may be asked to supply information on the specific content of courses taken at institutions outside of the U.S.
English Language Proficiency
International students are required to prove English language proficiency through TOEFL or IELTS scores, completion of at least 24 credits at an accredited U.S. college or university, SAT reading scores, or documented graduation from a secondary or post-secondary school in a country where English is an official language. More information is available on the International Students page of the College Catalog. Those who do not meet these requirements may be eligible for our English as a Second Language (ESL) program.
Students who have completed a minimum of 24 credits at an accredited U.S. college or university may be exempt from English placement testing and may be eligible to transfer in a course equivalent to our ENL111, English Composition I.
Policies and Restrictions
International students interested in health science programs need to be aware of restrictions on international health credentials and course work for those majors.
All other transfer restrictions and graduation requirements apply.
Penn College has several articulation agreements with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) as well as with Jubail Industrial College. See our Articulation Agreements with 2-Year Colleges for more detail.
