Step 1. Complete the Degree Application
The deadline to apply is July 1 for first-year, full-time, degree-seeking students who wish to begin in the Fall.*
*The College reserves the right to extend the application deadline. In cases where personal hardship, military service, or home relocation reasonably prevents application before the deadline, you may appeal to the Director of Admissions.
Step 2. Submit proof of eligibility for admission, according to your particular situation.
High School Students
Ask your guidance counselor to submit your current high school transcript with your application. After you graduate, submit your official, final transcript with proof of credits and graduation from a state accredited secondary school.
High School Graduates
You must show proof of graduation from a state accredited secondary school. Ask your former high school to submit your official, final transcript with proof of credits and graduation.
Students from the state of Pennsylvania may show proof of graduation through one of three ways, from:
- a diploma-granting organization authorized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education; or
- a letter from your local school district administrator confirming you have met requirements for graduation; or
- a standardized diploma form created by the Pennsylvania Department of Education signed by your twelfth grade third-party evaluator and/or a transcript created by your supervisor (your transcript must include a graduation date and original signatures from your supervisor and twelfth grade third-party evaluator).
Proof of graduation for students from outside the state of Pennsylvania will be evaluated based on the requirements specific to their state legislation.
Students with a GED
You must submit your official GED transcript of your scores confirming receipt of a state diploma.
Ask all previously attended college(s) to send your official transcript(s) to the Admissions Office at Penn College. An official transcript must come directly from the previous college(s) to Penn College – not from you. If you’re still enrolled at another college or university, you can apply to Penn College up to two years before you plan to begin your studies with us. We’ll just need a current transcript when you apply and an official, final transcript reflecting your earned degree (if applicable) before you enroll. If you have not completed an associate’s degree or higher at the time of application to Penn College, then we will also need your high school or GED transcript showing proof of graduation.
Step 3. Submit proof of your eligibility, as required for majors with special admission requirements.
Review the specific requirements for your intended major.
If you have completed the 11th grade, you may be considered for early admission as a full-time or part-time student in lieu of your senior year of high school.
After You Apply For Admission
You may track the status of your application through the Student Information System.
If there are no concerns regarding your application, you will be asked to complete the steps listed in the Enrollment Process.
