About The VR Studio
Virtual reality is the creation of an artificial environment that is digitally created and displayed to the user in such a way that the user suspends belief and accepts this environment.
To meet the demanding needs of this space the Pennsylvania College of Technology has employed the latest in VR Technology so as to ensure the best experience that students can have.
Visit the Library Circulation Desk to request the room during studio hours.
Sporting the latest in power and techonology the Alienware Aurora is designed to provide students with the best possible experience while using the HTC Vive Pro. The Aurora is equipped with a 4K 55” display inside the room, and a display outside for visitors to watch.
Pre-installed software on the system includes Viveport and Steam VR. This ensures students will have the ability to select between the needs of both work and entertainment.

The VR Studio is open during the following hours; Inclement weather and/or library events may affect these hours.
Sunday-Thursday: 3 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday: 3 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday: Closed

Facilities
Care & Safety
Cleaning the Headset and Lens
Between uses, clean the headset with antibacterial wipes and wipe the headset's lens with cleaning cloths (being careful not to scratch the lens).
Return all Equipment when done
Place all equipment to the stand and plug-in to charge.
Be Aware of Your Surroundings
Don't hit anything with the controllers!

Check Your Surroundings
Clear your surroundings of objects, wires, or any other material that may impede or trip you during studio use.
Spacial Awareness
You can't see the real world, so have someone watch your movements.
Comfort and Breaks
Adjust the VR Headset straps for comfort and make sure to take breaks every 30 minutes.
