Special Purpose Labs

Our IT majors are supported by four special purpose computing labs (networking, IT security, GNU/Linux, and Mac OS), with advanced video cards and industry standard software packages. Our lab coordinator also maintains a Linux-based Apache Web server, an Oracle database server, and several GNU/Linux servers.

After Graduation

Career Opportunities

Positions include network technicians, help desk technicians, technical support representatives, customer support professionals, PC support specialists, user support specialists, call center support representatives, and related positions that continue to emerge in the information technology field. Exact titles and responsibilities relate to the academic and experiential requirements of the specific positions.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage for computer network support specialists was $62,670 in May 2016. The top 10 percent earned more than $105,910.
