As a parent, you will play a significant role in your child’s transition into life as a Penn College student. To help you get started on this new journey, we have designed an information session to provide you with a valuable base of knowledge that you can use to help your student prepare for Penn College.
While students are taking placement tests, parents, families, and other individuals who will play a role in the transition are encouraged to attend the Parent and Guest Information Session. The session will cover the following topics:
- the steps your student will need to complete to prepare for enrollment
- academic resources
- health and safety
- programs and activities
- financial aid
- parent involvement
You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and visit offices on campus. See the On-Campus Testing page for times and location. We look forward to seeing you on placement test day.
Other Opportunities for Involvement
You are also encouraged to join your student for the Advising Session, where you will learn about your student's placement test results, course sequence for first semester and beyond, and other information specific to his or her major.
Read the Parent Newsletter, which you will receive via email if your email address is on file with the Admissions Office.
Plan to attend Connections, our new student orientation program. Several informative parent sessions will be offered to provide more in-depth information about campus services, processes, and policies.
