HEP Quality Control Inspector (QCI)
This course covers how to perform fundamental QCI responsibilities and prepares trainees to successfully challenge the HEP Quality Control Inspector certification exams. Topics include inspecting energy efficiency retrofits, performing duct blaster and CAZ testing, utilizing infrared cameras, ASHRAE building airflow calculations, understanding regulations and standards, desk and in-progress monitoring, and report writing. Participants will conduct a quality control inspection on a weatherized house mock-up and generate a QC report. 60% presentation and 40% hands-on exercises. This course requires participation in classroom and hands-on exercises, quizzes, and a passing grade (70% or above) in the end-of-course exam (QA Report).
