Continuing Education for Long-Term Care Personnel
This continuing nursing education activity is approved by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Introduction to Continence Maintenance
This course discusses the physiological process of urination and the types of incontinence, the assessment and promotion of urinary incontinence, the selection of incontinence products, and the proper product application. One contact hour will be awarded upon successful completion.
Incontinence Management – Quality vs. Cost
This course discusses the components of a continence management program and reviews the cost containment of quality products verses lower quality products. This presentation is designed to help organize incontinent procedures in long-term care, concentrating on resident screening, proper choices of continence products, and staff education. One contact hour will be awarded upon successful completion.
Registration Information
Each self-paced course consists of several training modules and a final, "open book" assessment, which must be completed within 30 days. You must complete the final assessment with a passing grade of 100%. You have unlimited attempts to complete the assessment within 30 days.
