Benchmarking at the Factory Built Housing Center
Take your business to the next level. In 2006, the FBHC collaborated with Dr. Jack Willenbrock on developing a two-day Benchmarking workshop for the systems built industry based on the research and book, Benchmark Your Business, Guidelines for Success by Dr. Willenbrock. This new step-by-step assessment will aid the systems built manufacturers, builders, and their supply chain partners in their primary leadership management systems by comparing managerial proficiencies to construction output quickly and efficiently. Benchmark Your Business, Guidelines for Success will enable you to step back and look at how well your business is running today and help you evaluate your needs for growth in the future. By the completion of the assessment workshop, the participants will have begun the benchmarking process addressing these systems: business planning, office management, quality management, cost estimating, cost accounting, cost control, scheduling, safety, trade contractor and supplier partnering, customer care, and warranty programs. A resource guide at the end of the book and a binder with the benchmarking information from the workshop is included to direct the user to a wealth of resources to improve benchmarks for each system. The workshop can be customized to the client’s needs and is offered both as a general open admission workshop and as a company sponsored program with Dr. Willenbrock and other industry consultants facilitating the sessions through the FBHC at Penn College.
