General Information
How do I know which class is best for me?
Descriptions of what will be taught in each class are available online and in the course catalog. If you're not sure what class to take or if you need help deciding if you are ready to move on to another class, contact WDCE for assistance.
Will I have homework or tests?
Generally, homework is not assigned. Individual instructors may recommend exercises to practice before attending the next class. Tests are generally not given; some instructors may give in-class challenges.
Are books required?
If a book is required, you will be notified about the cost when you register and the book will be handed out the first night of class.
Will I have access to a computer in class?
If the class requires a computer, you will have access to a computer during class. Your instructor's computer may be projected onto a screen to aid in learning during class.
If I am having trouble in class, is there additional help?
Classes are small and individual attention is given to those who need it.
How do I register?
How do I pay for the class?
WDCE reserves the right to cancel a class (before it is scheduled to begin) if it does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements. You will be notified at least one week before class begins if the class will be cancelled. [Cancellations and refunds]
Cancellations and refunds
It may be necessary to cancel some classes due to low enrollment. The decision to cancel may be made 5-10 working days prior to the start of classes. If your class is canceled, we will notify you and provide a full refund.
If you drop a class, provide a written request for a refund. If your request is received or postmarked before the scheduled start of the first class, you will receive a 100-percent refund; if your request is received or postmarked before the second scheduled class (or 20 percent of total class length), you will receive a 60-percent refund. No refunds will be issued after the second class.
If you paid by credit card, the refund will be issued as a credit to your account. Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing of the refund.
Special courses, seminars, and conferences do not follow this standard refund policy. Contact us for details.
The College is closed on most major holidays. [Holiday schedule]
Makeup times are offered for classes canceled by holidays, weather, or the instructor's request. Do not attend a class other than the one for which you are registered. [Emergency closing]
Emergency closing
Weather or other emergencies may require the College to close or delay opening. When this occurs, local radio and television stations are notified. You may tune in to these stations for details or you may check the College Web site or call (570) 326-3671 for appropriate announcements. Closings or delayed openings impact all campus locations. Always be safe and make sound decisions about traveling in poor weather or other emergency conditions. To report any problems or concerns, call (570) 327-4775.
Class locations

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are provided for many classes. Contact WDCE for details.
Certificates of completion are awarded at the conclusion of the class, based on attendance of at least 70 percent of the total class or instructor's discretion.
Visitors and guests are not permitted in classes. Smoking is not permitted in any College building.
