Q: How do I know which class is best for me?
A: If you're not sure what class is best for you to take, we have experienced personnel who can talk to you and find out what you know about computers or other areas that you are interested. Outlines covering what will be taught are available to download from the registration site. When you are ready to move on to another class, we are available to guide you.
Q: Will I have homework or be tested?
A: Generally, homework is not assigned for WDCE classes. Individual instructors may recommend exercises from your book for you to practice before attending the next class. Tests are not generally given; however, some instructors will give in-class challenges.
Q: Where can I get the book required for the class?
A: Books required for your course are included in the tuition cost and are handed out to you the first night of the class. If there are any additional cost, you will be advised of such when you register for the class.
Q: How can I register for a class?
A: Our Registration Information Web page will tell you that information: Penn College WDCE: Registration Information.
Q: How do I pay for the class? Will I be billed?
A: You can pay by MasterCard, VISA, Discover, check, or company invoice. If your company wishes to pay for your class, call WDCE at (570) 327-4775 for directions.
Q: Will I have my own computer to work at?
A: If the class is computer-based, students will have their own computer to work with. The instructor's computer is set up so that its image is projected onto a screen for teaching.
Q: If I am having trouble in class, is there additional help?
A: Class size is small so that individual attention can be given to students who need it.
Q: How will I know if the class is canceled or running?
A: All students who have registered for a class will receive a reminder call at least one week before class begins. Workforce Development Development & Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel a class if it does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements.
